JAVIER AROZENA
​
Graduated in Contemporary Dance at the Centro Andaluz de Danza in Seville, holds a diploma in Contemporary Dance from the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona.
​
He has been developing his artistic practice since 2001 as a performer, creator and teacher in national, European and North American companies. He is currently a member of Dance On Ensemble (Berlin), participating in the productions "Works In Silence" by Lucinda Childs, "Fäden" by Ivana Müller in co-production with the Münchner Kammerspiele and "Mellowing" by Christos Papadopoulos. He participates in the production "Kiss the one we are" by HIATUS / Daniel Linehan (Brussels).

Since 2019 he forms and co-directs, together with the architect Gino Senesi, the creative tandem javier arozena cía. The company's repertoire includes the works "schwanengesang" (awarded with "best performer" at 25MASDANZA and nominated for the Barcelona critics' awards in 2021), "der held", "U" and "VU" together with the artist Élida Dorta, "pausa azul" and "double bill", the company's latest creation, as well as the site-specific "zeitgeist" for TEA Tenerife espacio de las artes within the dance and performance programme La Cresta, "garachico" for the Cuadernos Escénicos festival, "deverdeplata" for the Escena Patrimonio '21 festival, the action "un acontecer silencioso" for the Sala de Arte La Regenta, "cuatro cuerpos para la mirada" for the Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes.
He is currently developing the new company project "la pieza porvenir".

GINO SENESI
Architect formed in the National University of Cordoba, Argentina.

With a background in art history, theatre and design, he develops his creative activity trusting in the critical potential of the living arts in constant dialogue with architecture and the city. After finishing his academic studies, he began a personal journey through the European geography. It is in Barcelona where he carries out different personal creative projects linked to interior space, visual arts and dance.
He lives in Tenerife since 2018, when he began to intervene in the process of artistic and scenic creation together with artist and choreographer Javier Arozena. Open to new formats and languages, they have developed different performance projects in unconventional spaces, with a special interest in architecture and heritage spaces, museum spaces, public/private spaces and the city.
As a member of the artistic team of javier arozena cía, he participates in the creation processes of "schwanengesang" (nominated for the Barcelona critics' awards 2021), "der held", "pausa azul", "double bill", company's latest creation, and in the site specific works "zeitgeist" for TEA Tenerife, "garachico" for the Festival Cuadernos escénicos 2020, "die mehreren" for the multidisciplinary space PLASMA, "un acontecer silencioso" for the Centro de Artes La Regenta 2022, "cuatro cuerpos para la mirada" for the Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes.
He is currently developing the company's new project "la pieza porvenir".
